Wise's family, which includes his wife, Antonia and his children, Abigail and Kaelen face a heavy financial burden in the wake of his fall, according to the fundraiser. As of Thursday, Feb. 13, more than $31,000 has been raised.
"Eric has spent his life serving and protecting others—both in his professional role as a detective and in his personal life as a loving husband and father," Greg Henderson, who organized the fundraiser said.
"Now, it’s time for us to support him and his family during this incredibly difficult time. His commitment to his family, his work, and his community is evident in the countless lives he has touched through his compassion and dedication."
